Stitches in Time by Di Parsons

Di's latest body of work presents a surreal, tactile landscape where stitches, paint and embedded materials converge to form abstract artworks.  Hand-stitching, beading and mark-making create richly textured surfaces. Repeating motifs suggest memory traces and imagined terrains, and the stitching acts both as structure and gesture: binding and traversing the surface while adding a quiet narrative of time, repair and connection.  Her work feels organic, intuitive and dreamlike, inviting slow viewing and sensory engagement.
