Margaret Coxall, born in Tasmania, she has traveled and lived in various locations worldwide, including California and Malaysia. During her time in the USA, she had the privilege of working and studying with renowned contemporary artists. This experience led her to dedicate her life to painting and the profound joy it brings.
Currently residing near the ocean in Western Australia, Margaret finds inspiration in the restless movement and vibrant colours of the sea, the tranquil serenity of the Australian bush and the fragile beauty of flowers. Living in close proximity to nature is an endless source of inspiration for her, and she hopes to share this wonder through her paintings.
Margaret is also interested in the built landscape, particularly in the cities she has visited in Europe. She enjoys experimenting with different techniques and loves sharing these insights with her students during her regular workshops. Most recently she embarked on a series of work celebrating the disappearing world of text and the written word. Manuals, newspapers and handwriting are used together with found ephemera to build the collages
In recent years, she has had twenty solo shows, most recently at Brick Lane Gallery in London. She is a member of Bridgeman Studio (London), which markets her images globally. Her works are held in prestigious collections worldwide, including London, the USA, Europe, and Australia.
